I'm a native Texas and as a two-time University of Texas alum (BS '08 and MBA '14), I have spent most of my adult life in Austin, TX. 

 

I'm a self-taught oil painter, but I grew up loving to sketch. I was inspired to try oil painting right before my first daughter was born. My wife had asked for some prints for the nursery, and I figured why not try it myself. And so for the past six years I have enjoyed the possibilities (and challenges) that oil paint brings.

 

I'm currently pushing myself to try new techniques, styles, and subjects. I’ve mostly painted places, animals, and people that have a special meaning to me. My oil paintings span across detailed brushwork and more abstract, textured palette knife paintings. However, I love being pushed into new directions and subjects from commissions.
