Commissions

48" x 36" commission. Oil on canvas. Palette knife only
Whether you have an exact picture or subject in mind or just a space that you know you want to fill with an original artwork, I'd love to work with you. My work spans many styles and even brushwork (more detailed, less texture) and palette knife (more texture, but less detail) or both, so initial alignment helps. The process could include up to a couple iterations of photoshopped ideations and possibly even a small study, so that we can both feel confident the final piece will be what you're looking for!

Spectrum of styles
You may not know exactly what you want, but you do have a picture, scene, or subject in mind. On the right you'll see how I describe the spectrum of works I've created to date. Hopefully this helps you understand more of what you're looking for, and also help us get aligned quicker.
From detailed brushwork to completely abstract
1 / More realistic and detailed
These two paintings were done entirely with brushwork. The details are finer in both works. The extra detail and finer brushwork style takes more time and could make the price of your commission slightly higher than the starting price.

2 / Slightly abstracted or impressionist
These works could be brushwork, palette knife or a combination of the two. There is still some detail, most likely in the primary subject of the painting (i.e., the light house), but some abstraction or blurriness. The lighthouse is entirely palette knife, and the beach scene is brushwork, but painted a little loosely.

3 / More abstracted, impressionist
Again, these works could be brushwork, palette knife or a combination of the two. As you get closer to the painting, you'll notice there's less detail, however there's still an easily recognizable subject or landscape. Or the abstraction could be in the use of non-realistic colors as seen in the the Longhorn painting.

4 / Abstract
There is no subject here. We can draw inspiration from your space, other images or art, and work together on a couple iterations of photoshopped "prototypes" to get to a commonplace.
